However, the water was too high and stepping stones were missing..

In the past this area was much easier to cross.

Upstream, Oak Creek widens and there is a easing crossing with shallow calm water.

One should take three things for the crossing.
1. Water shoes with treads for traction.
2. Walking Stick for stabilization.
3. Water proof bag or zip lock bag for cell phone.
